School Based Apprenticeships are Rewarding

Apprenticeship are basically the training programs which are conducted during trade courses. There are many trades in which these courses are done including:

• Plumbing.

• Electrical.

• Hair dressing.

• Cookery.

• Farming etc.

All these trades are different from each other and have their own significance. These trades can be commenced at secondary school under a system known as school based apprenticeships.

In the process of school based apprenticeships, the high school will partner with a technical college and work out a proper training plan which is suitable for the students, the school and the college. The trainers will outline the basic details of the training such as – when will the training start, how many days will it continue, what topics would be covered, what would be the target audience and how the trainees will  be assessed. This type of apprenticeship has many benefits, including incentives for employers and paid work for students. Secondly there is a flexibility of timings in this trade.
